Prasar Bharati announces 100th DD Free Dish auction

Prasar Bharati has invited applications for the 100th eâauction to allot vacant MPEGâ2 slots on the DD Free Dish platform. The auction will be held online on July 16, with successful channels receiving slots from July 23, 2026, to March 31, 2027, on a proârata basis.
The public broadcaster said the auction will follow the Eâauction Methodology 2025, along with amendments notified in January 2026. Eligible participants include satellite television channels holding valid licences from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, as well as international public broadcasters permitted by the ministry.
Channels have been grouped into genre and language buckets, including Hindi and Urdu GECs, movie, music and sports channels, Bhojpuri channels, Hindi and Urdu news, devot...
