Children's access to quality education remains a challenge on several fronts

However, several pain points remain such as the dip in government school enrolment, which is down to 67 per cent in rural India.

Manash Gohain for The Times of India points out that government school enrolment for children aged 6 - 14 has declined sharply from 72.9 per cent in 2022 to 66.8 per cent in 2024, according to the ASER data.
