Shannon Molloy, Senior Reporter at News.com.au is leaving News Corp Australia after a long career in journalism and will take a family holiday before deciding what to do next.
In a heart-felt leaving message posted to his LinkedIn account, Molloy looked back over the years and said in the rapidly evolving media industry redundancies were always in the back of your mind.
“A decade or so back, I was at the pub with a few journo mates debriefing on a particularly deep raft of job cuts at work,” he said.
“Some giants of the craft were lost that day. We were rattled and more than a little despondent.
“All we can do is keep dancing ‘til the music stops,” one quipped.
