By Tony Bosworth in Media News on

It's about passion, hard work, and truth. Those are the foundations of this career." Having faced multiple redundancies when she first started in the industry, Wylie says she  learned early on that success in journalism requires more than just a university degree, and emphasised the crucial role of networking and internships in landing that first job. "I've seen countless people secure positions simply because they were there, interning, making themselves visible to those who make hiring decisions." Wylie recalled her own journey, starting with podcast The Daily Red because when traditional opportunities weren't immediately available, she created her own platform.
