Pakistani content still LIVE as platforms yet to act on govt advisory

Major services like Spotify, Apple and YouTube have not responded to repeated queries regarding takedown action.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had instructed platforms to remove all Pakistani films, web series, songs, and podcasts—paid or free—citing national security concerns following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which was linked to Pakistan-based actors. The advisory, cleared by the competent authority, applies to content that may impact India’s unity, sovereignty, or public order under rule 3(1)(b) of the IT Rules.
