Richard Glover to step down from ABC Radio Sydney after 26 years

Reflecting on his tenure, Glover said, “It’s one of the best jobs in Australian journalism, and I feel I’ve hogged it for long enough.”
While Glover hinted at future projects with the ABC, he plans to shift focus to writing books, continuing his Sydney Morning Herald column, and addressing personal goals like his knee issues.
Glover, who started at ABC Radio Sydney in 1996 and took over Drive two years later, has interviewed notable figures such as Bill Bryson, Julie Andrews, and David Attenborough. He also broke the Guinness World Record for the longest radio interview in 2011.
