Sitaraman Shankar steps down from Deccan Herald

Shankar served as an editor of the Deccan Herald for six years, a position he took on in 2018.
Shankar began his career in journalism as an assistant corporate editor at The Economic Times, where he wrote widely on Indian business topics and mentored junior colleagues.
In 2000, Shankar joined Thomson Reuters as a senior correspondent in Mumbai and subsequently worked for the company in various editorial positions in Germany, London, and Dubai for more than a decade.
In 2012, he moved to Hindustan Times, where he worked for four years as a deputy managing editor and editor of views. He later became the managing editor of special projects...
