Optus makes most front pages this morning, and not in any good way - not least for the embattled company and its CEO Stephen Rue. According to the Australian Financial Review this morning (front page story by Simon Evans, Paul Smith, and Nicola Smith) Rue told the paper's Cyber Security Summit last week - just two days before the outage that saw triple-zero calls mistakenly switched off came to light - that the telco had learned lessons from its previous major outage just last year and the cyber attack the year before. But, says The Fin in a balanced, though occasionally withering editorial, "there is a disconnect with what the telco's CEO told the Cyber Summit".
