Fiona Ellis-Jones is a highly experienced journalist, editor and newsreader and now heads ARN’s news gathering journalists and newsrooms, running a team of over 60. She explains on Insider live how Public Relations professionals can get their stories in front of the ARN audience.
"In those local licence areas, you can imagine they are just crying out for good yarns,” says Ellis-Jones.
“So if you've got something that is ultra relevant to that area, then journalists will absolutely love you if you go straight to them.
“All of our local stations have websites that have newsroom forms with newsroom email addresses, so I would just be pitching directly to them.
