A mixed bag of stories grace the front pages of our print dailies today but Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's trip to New York - where he will speak at the UN and join several other western nations in calling the world to recognise a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict - gets some decent column inches.
The Sydney Morning Herald's foreign affairs correspondent Matthew Knott has the front page lead ('PM's plea to world'), as well as an analysis piece inside, and coverage over pages 4 and 5 too. Knott's main contention in his analysis is Albo is showing a willingness for Australia to be independent from the US on some issues, and this issue is about as big as it gets.
